A partner at Ogletree Deakins since 2021, Stéphane Bloch has gained recognized experience in all aspects of labor law, particularly within public and quasi-public sector entities and so-called “special-status” companies that employ staff under private-law contracts. He has also developed expertise in the application of labor law within local governments.
Stéphane regularly leads training sessions, notably on the topics of employee representative bodies, collective bargaining rules, and labor union law. He is a member of the executive board of AvoSial (the association of labor law attorneys) and advises on highly specialized topics such as the transfer of personnel between the public and private sectors and the administrative review of employee reduction plans (PSEs).
In addition to labor law as it applies to the public sector, Stéphane has also developed expertise in labor law as it applies to professional sports.
Active in academia, Stéphane lectures on labor law at the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and teaches courses on individual employment relationships at the University of Paris Est-Créteil. He leads conferences organized by Lefebvre Dalloz Compétences, the Assises du Droit Social, and the Rencontres du Droit Social, as well as workshops at the Institut du Droit Social. He also speaks at thematic conferences hosted by the Club du Droit Social.
He is the author of numerous articles in legal journals and is listed as a “Recommended Lawyer” in the international Legal 500 EMEA guide.
Stéphane is bilingual in French and English.
