Cécile Martin is a Managing Partner of Ogletree Deakins.
For more than 20 years, she has developed extensive experience in the social management of restructurings, both advisory and litigation, the management of senior executives, the implementation of compensation policies (including for material risk takers), and discrimination and harassment litigation.
She also has recognized industry expertise in all aspects of data protection and compliance, particularly in the management of employees’ personal data, cyber-surveillance, ethical alerts and the implementation of new technologies (AI).
Having started her career at the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL), Cécile Martin is closely involved with major companies in their efforts to comply with all legislation relating to personal data and its social aspects. She was a member of the IAPP DPO France Skills Certification Committee, a former KnowledgeNet Chapter France and was a member of the European Advisory Committee of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). She is a regular contributor to French and international legal journals.
Cécile Martin is recognized each year in the most prestigious international rankings in France for “Employment law”. She is ranked in Chambers France and Legal 500 EMEA, where she is listed as a “Leading Partner,” as well as in Best Lawyers in the categories “Labor and Employment Law” and “Privacy and Data Security Law.”
