Cécile Martin is the Managing Partner of Ogletree Deakins in France.
For more than 20 years, she has developed extensive expertise in the employment aspects of corporate restructurings, both in advisory and litigation matters, executive departures, the implementation of compensation policies (including for Material Risk Takers), as well as discrimination and harassment litigation.
Having begun her career at the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL), she has also developed recognized expertise in compliance and data privacy, particularly at the intersection of employment law and personal data protection law. Her experience includes managing data subject access requests, implementing employee monitoring and cybersecurity systems, whistleblowing frameworks, and deploying new technologies, including artificial intelligence.
In this regard, she is actively involved with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and has served as a KnowledgeNet Chapter Co-Chair for France, a member of the French DPO Skills Certification Committee, and a member of the IAPP European Advisory Board. She regularly publishes articles in French and international legal journals.
Cécile is individually ranked each year in the most prestigious international legal directories in the field of employment law in France, including Chambers France, Legal 500 EMEA, and Legal 500 Paris, where she is recognized as a “Leading Partner”, as well as by Best Lawyers.
